About Creative Abilities

Community built around ability, dignity, and belonging.

Creative Abilities brings people of all abilities together through shared activities while creating support and connection for families and caregivers.

How Creative Abilities began

Creative Abilities was started by parents and caregivers who supported one another through the ups and downs of caring for a loved one with disabilities. The organization continues that same spirit of unity today.

Its mission is to build community, encourage meaningful friendships, and provide helpful tools for anyone walking a similar journey.

Our Vision

What we are working toward.

We envision a West Tennessee community where caregivers of individuals with disabilities have access to respite care and meaningful connection, and where individuals with disabilities thrive through day programs, genuine friendships, community engagement, and essential life and job skills.

1

Belonging

People need places where they are known, welcomed, included, and able to participate meaningfully.

2

Support

Caregivers need connection, practical help, encouragement, and opportunities for respite.

3

Growth

Participants benefit from opportunities to develop friendships, community involvement, life skills, and job skills.

Community Partnership

We cannot build this alone.

Creative Abilities welcomes local businesses, churches, nonprofits, and community members who want to help create a stronger support network for individuals with disabilities and their families.
